Jo has worked in sales most of her professional life. Her first job at 16 was working part time in a shoe repair shop in a city called Coventry in the UK, selling shoe polish, duplicate door keys and replacement stiletto heels. She's a natural 'people person', warm and effervescent and loves helping people become masters of their trade.
Her career has spanned many years in sales and she has successfully sold a whole range of products from Golf holidays, with her partner who is a well known Golf YouTuber, to networking events, major sponsorship deals and high end golf clubs.
Her favourite thing to do now is to pass on her skills to help others achieve their professional goals
Early on in her working life before specialising in sales, she trained as a Manufacturing Engineer. After working for several years as an Engineer in the Motor Industry her career progressed quickly in the corporate environment. She held a number of senior management roles in HR, Communications and Sales before leaving to set up her own consultancy in 2003.
Currently she is a retained consultant and trainer working in the broadband and internet sector training call centre staff which she absolutely adores.
Prior to this her recent assignment at a UK Golf club, Jo and her partner Julian Mellor who was the head Golf Professional, drove in thousands of pounds worth of business with golf days, conferences & golf society days through networking, relationship building and creative use of social media. Membership increased by 50% and revenues quadrupled.
From a standing start, they also become one of the leading retailers of the game changing, premium golf clubs, XXIO which have been the best selling golf clubs in Asia for the last 17 years. They are currently aiming to become Number 1.
Jo is a 'doer' who loves a good days work. Jo is obsessed by process improvement and her Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, which she achieved with a distinction fed her fascination with Leadership. It's means she has a constant thirst for learning and bringing you the best solutions to your sales problems.
Jo is a committed yoga practitioner and a meditator which helps her stay calm under pressure and helps her stay calm when her clients might not be.
