I've always been a thinker. If you’re like me, you'll know that can be a blessing or a curse.
My training as a Manufacturing Engineer has channelled that thinking so I'm obsessed with making things better, slicker and more efficient. I'm fascinated by process improvement in a business and a personal context. There's not a day that doesn't got by that I don't say "it's all about the process". You can't expect people to do a good job consistently without rigorous processes in place.
I'm a committed yoga practitioner and a habitual meditator which helps me stay calm and focussed at work and at home. Running a busy pro shop, these skills are vital.
At Stratford Park Hotel and Golf UK, I work as Golf Operations Manager with my partner, Julian Mellor, who is the Head Professional. We are passionate about our professions and will always give you a warm welcome. People say that we are a breath of fresh air in the golf industry and are highly complementary about the improvements that we have made at our current club.
Making visitors feel welcome at our course, looking after our members or organising golf events is what I do best.
Julian was recently voted as one of the top 20 Golf influencers on the web. We’ve been together since 2007 when I went to learn to play golf. He coaches people from all over the world in a new way of playing golf, The Easiest Swing in Golf.
If you ever call or email me I’m always happy to help.
If you’d like to engage with me as a Speaker, I’m also happy to share my story of being on The Apprentice.
There have also been many mountains in my life that I've had to climb which will be available to read in my forthcoming book, The Day I Wanted to Die.
Here's a bit of my CV for you if that's of interest :
